Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG): Status and EDGE
The Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) helped SMEs adopt pre-approved IT solutions and equipment, funding up to 50% of eligible costs, capped at S$30,000. Key update: PSG closed to new applications on 29 September 2026 and is replaced by the unified EDGE Grant. Ongoing PSG projects are still supported; new technology adoption now applies under EDGE.
Update (2026): The Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) closed to new applications on 29 September 2026. From 30 September 2026 it is replaced by the unified EDGE Grant, which folds PSG together with the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) and the Market Readiness Assistance (MRA) grant. If you have an ongoing PSG project or applied before the cut-off, it continues to be processed and you can claim on completion. For new technology adoption, you now apply under EDGE.
What PSG funded
PSG was a pre-scoped technology-adoption grant for SMEs. It helped them buy pre-approved IT solutions and equipment — from accounting and inventory software to sector-specific tools. Pre-approved solutions simplified selection, although applicants still had to provide quotations and supporting company documents, and Enterprise Singapore indicated a processing time of about six weeks.
- Support: up to 50% of eligible costs.
- Cap: S$30,000 per company per grant year.
- Rule of thumb: you had to apply before paying the vendor or placing a deposit; retrospective purchases were not supported. PSG was reimbursement-based — you paid first and claimed after completing the project.
Who qualified
- a business entity registered and operating in Singapore;
- at least 30% local shareholding by Singapore citizens and/or PRs;
- group annual sales turnover ≤ S$100 million or group employment ≤ 200; and
- the solution or equipment had to be used in Singapore.
How this works under EDGE
EDGE keeps a dedicated lane for this kind of spend. Within EDGE’s overall S$100,000 grant cap for each 1 April–31 March grant year (both the overall cap and the sub-cap reset on 1 April), up to S$30,000 may be used for single-function digital solutions, integrated enterprise systems and pre-scoped equipment — the successor to PSG’s technology support. These figures are grant amounts a company can receive, not maximum project costs, and activity-specific eligibility, rates and supported cost components still apply. You must apply before starting work or making any payment or deposit, and EDGE is reimbursement-based. You still apply through the Business Grants Portal with Corppass, and the at-least-30% local-ownership rule still applies.

Next steps
If you were about to apply for PSG, look at the equivalent EDGE activities instead. For larger, customised transformation projects, see the former Enterprise Development Grant (EDG), which also moved under EDGE. You’ll apply with Corppass — the same business login used for GST. The tax treatment of a grant depends on its purpose: revenue grants are generally taxable, while capital grants may reduce the expenditure eligible for deductions or capital allowances — see corporate tax.
